Basement Apartments:
There are two types of basement apartments, Walk out and deep. Walk out basements are not fully deep and mostly the back portion is at the ground level and rent for these basements is higher than other basements by $50 to $100. The deep basements are normally 8 to 10 steps fully deep from ground floor. The rent for one room basement starts from $700 and for two bedrooms start from $800. Most of the basements are with independent entrance and rent is inclusive of one parking spot and utilities. Some even include Internet and cable.
High Rise Apartments:
High rise apartments are 10 storeys or higher and some of them have centralized air conditioning facility but many old buildings are without it and you need to install your own A.C. in individual rooms. Rent depends upon building to building and it ranges between $1050 to $1300 including one parking and utilities for 2 bedrooms. It is less by $100 for one bedroom. There is lot of availability for these apartments and most of them are located near shopping malls and bus stops. These are very suitable to new immigrants. I have also lived in a high rise apartment for 4 years near Dixie Road and Queen street. There are lots of apartments near this intersection and all are close to Bramalea Shopping Center and other facilities.
Town Homes:
These are homes on ground floor level and 4 to 6 homes are attached together in a row. Most of them are three storeys with minimum of 2 to 3 bedrooms. These are very few available for rent in Brampton. Rent range is from $1,000 to $1,300.
Other Homes:
These are independent 3 to 4 bedroom homes, Single or double storey homes. These can be attached or fully detached types. These are also very few available for rent in Brampton. Rent can range from $1,500 to $2,500 depending upon the area you rent. Utilities are not included in the rent.
